It never fails, whenever you buy new furniture, your cat ends
up running and jumping on it. At some point he’ll get out the
claws and then just like that, your new furniture is ruined.

can let loose, yet do not have a lot of room to work with, then
a scratching post would be a good option for you. Unlike cat
trees and kitty gyms, a scratching post is generally smaller in
size and consists of a single post that can also be covered in
carpeting, but will sometimes be covered in sisal rope.
